FAQs (PSV Driver)
We pay £12.00 per hour.
You will need to be available for 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. Please note, these times may vary slightly depending on the route you are allocated.
We have various Operating Centres in the area; Grays, Chelmsford and Southend. This will be confirmed according to what route you have been recruited for.
You will be recruited according the areas that you are needed to cover.
You will travel with a Passenger Assistant, as you are likely to have more than 5 children on your vehicle. Also, if a child has needs, a specialist trained Passenger Assistant will also travel. Transport will provide full details before you start.
If you are on an alternative route, transporting adults with specialist needs, a member of the centre’s own team will travel with you too.
In order to drive a 16-seater vehicle with Kinect Services, you must have a valid PSV Licence and have full CPC Qualification hours logged with the DVSA.
We adhere to Government guidelines, at the moment, Transport staff do not need to be vaccinated.
We do not discriminate against staff with tattoos – but we do insist that any that may cause offence are covered and out of sight. Piercings are also acceptable, as long as they are not a Health and Safety Hazard, much like jewellery - any that can potentially catch or get caught should be removed for your own safety and that of the clients.
Please contact the dedicated Transport Team immediately with any problems or concerns. They are there to support you and need to ensure that Parents/Carers or School/Centre are informed of any concerns.
